Lean Six Sigma is a proven process-improvement methodology that in us since many years. The practise of Lean was started in Toyota in Japan after the 2nd World War, when Japan was struggling to revive it’s drowning economy. Lean or Toyota Production System gave huge benefit to the Japanese manufacturing Industry and started giving sleepless nights to the American automotive Industries. This is when US automotive industries started knowing & exploring Lean practises, this happened somewhere in early 1990’s .   Now, Lean is a way of working in many organizations and is not limited to just Manufacturing, service Industries are equally reaping the benefits of Lean.   Six Sigma originated in the US. Motorola pioneered Six Sigma practices. This happened during mid 1980’s ."Six Sigma" was registered June 11, 1991 as U.S. Service Mark 1,647,704. In 2005 Motorola attributed over US$17 billion in savings to Six Sigma. Other early adopters of Six Sigma include Honeywell and General Electric, where Jack Welch introduced the method. By the late 1990s, about two-thirds of the Fortune 500 organizations had begun Six Sigma initiatives with the aim of reducing costs and improving quality.   In recent years, some practitioners have combined Six Sigma ideas with lean manufacturing to create a methodology named Lean Six Sigma.The Lean Six Sigma methodology views lean manufacturing, which addresses process flow and waste issues, and Six Sigma, with its focus on variation and design, as complementary disciplines aimed at promoting "business and operational excellence".Companies such as GE,Accenture, Verizon, GENPACT, and IBM use Lean Six Sigma to focus transformation efforts not just on efficiency but also on growth. It serves as a foundation for innovation throughout the organization, from manufacturing and software development to sales and service delivery functions.   In this category of courses, we have - Overview of Six Sigma, Lean Essentials, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
